Cecilia Jiménez-Jorquera

Soy Investigadora Científica del Instituto de Microelectrónica de Barcelona (IMB-CNM), del CSIC. Realizo mi actividad en el IMB-CNM desde Enero de 2000, año en el que entré como Científica Titular a formar parte del grupo de Transductores Químicos (GTQ). Desde Enero de 2003 hasta junio del 2013 fui la Directora del GTQ. He sido miembro de la Comisión de Área de Ciencia y Tecnologías Físicas del CSIC desde Julio de 2008 hasta Junio de 2012. Desde Julio de 2016 ocupo el cargo de Vicedirectora del IMB-CNM.
He participado en 3 proyectos de la UE, siendo la IP de un proyecto del FP7 dentro del programa SME-Capacities (Widesens). Actualmente soy la IP del proyecto Wecare del programa Sinergia de la SNF, Suiza. Este proyecto tiene como objetivo el desarrollo de plataformas flexibles para la monitorización de biomarcadores en sudor durante la práctica de ejercicio físico. He participado en 29 proyectos nacionales y autonómicos, de los cuales he coordinado 12. Colaboro con empresas de los sectores de la instrumentación y del control medioambiental para desarrollar sistemas multisensores, habiendo participado hasta la fecha en 21 contratos con empresas, de los cuales he sido responsable de 13. He publicado unos 90 artículos en revistas de prestigio internacional dentro del campo de los sensores y los microsistemas y 3 capítulos de libros.
Mi actividad investigadora se centra en el diseño y fabricación de sensores químicos fabricados con tecnología microelectrónica y su integración en microsistemas de análisis µTAS (micro Total Analysis Systems) y Lab on Chip (LoC). Para esta actividad he considerado tanto la innovación tecnológica del sensor/sistema como su aplicabilidad en un sector industrial determinado que demuestre la utilidad real del dispositivo, su competitividad en el mercado actual y su utilidad social.
