The development of sensors involves elements of fields such as electrochemistry,  microelectronics, micro-fluidics  and optics.

The technologies used are the following:

  • NMOS and CMOS Technology for design and fabrication of the transducer element of electrochemical sensors.
  • Hybrid Polymer-Silicon Technology used for both, microfluidics of electrochemical sensors and for monolithic integration of microfluidics, prisms and light guides of opto-chemical sensors.
  • Thin film Electrodes Technology for the fabrication of the transducer element in UMEAs sensors type.
  • Integrated Optics Technology in optical sensors
